This first one is still one of my favorites in The Administration
Mostly because it was so different from what I expected.
Imagine my surprise and my delight, when I discovered this to be a bone-dry, straightforward police procedural in a futuristic setting, completely lacking the juicy romance and "ho-hum, look how edgy I am"-pretentiousness that bore me to tears in most of the so-called m/m thrillers.
No, this is no romance. This is a well developed, competently written story from a not-so-far-future dystopian society, consistent and realistic in its psychology as well as in its technology.
